Loyalty programs
Points programs
Points reward how much customers spend, not just how often they show up. They fit businesses where basket sizes vary — restaurants, retail, salons with services at different prices.
Settings
- Name — e.g. "VIP Points".
- Points target — the balance a customer works toward.
- Reward — what reaching the target is worth ("€10 off", "Free main course").
- Premises — where points can be earned and redeemed.
Adding points
At the counter, staff scan the customer's QR, pick the points program, and enter the amount to add — with quick-add shortcuts for common values. Whether you award points per euro spent or per visit tier is your call; keep the rule simple enough to say out loud.
Redemption
When a customer reaches the target, the reward shows as redeemable in their app. Staff scan, confirm the reward, and the balance resets toward the next one.
Stamps or points?
A useful rule of thumb:
- If your customers buy roughly the same thing every time → stamp card.
- If receipts range from small to large → points.
You can run both (e.g. stamps for coffee, points for the lunch menu), but introduce them one at a time so staff and customers keep the story straight.
