Add stamps and points
Adding stamps is the moment your loyalty program actually happens — so Sello's scanner is built to keep it under five seconds.
The Add flow
- Open Scan (the center button in the business app) — the scanner opens in Add mode.
- Pick the program — only needed if more than one is active; with a single program this step disappears.
- Set the amount — stamps default to 1 with a ± stepper; points show a number pad with quick-add amounts.
- Scan the customer's My code QR.
- Done — a confirmation shows the stamp count and the customer's name.
The configuration steps happen before the scan, so the moment with the customer at the counter is just: scan, done.
If the scan completes a card
The success screen offers Redeem it now — the customer can claim their reward on the same visit, without switching modes or re-scanning.
Multiple stamps at once
Buying three coffees for the office? Set the stepper to 3 before scanning. Same for points: enter the amount that matches the receipt.
Who can add stamps
Anyone on your team — but only at premises they're assigned to. See Roles and permissions.
No customer app?
Customers need the free Sello app to have a code to scan — that's what keeps every stamp real. Most businesses put a small QR at the till that downloads the app, so joining takes under a minute.
