Stamp cards
The digital version of "buy 9, get 1 free". Customers collect stamps by visiting; a full card becomes a redeemable reward.
Settings
- Name — shown on the customer's card.
- Stamps to complete — how many stamps fill the card. Match it to your visit rhythm: a daily coffee shop can support 10; a monthly barber is better at 5–6.
- Reward — what a completed card is worth.
- Premises — where the card can be stamped and redeemed.
How stamps are added
Only your team can add stamps: a staff member scans the customer's My code QR and adds one (or more) stamps. There are no self-service stamps, no codes to type, and nothing the customer can forge. See Add stamps and points.
What the customer sees
Their card in the Sello app fills up stamp by stamp, in real time. When the card is complete it moves to their Rewards — with a clear "ready to redeem" state that nudges the return visit.
When the card is full
The customer redeems at the counter: staff scan their code, see the completed card, and confirm the reward. The card resets and the loop starts again. Details in Redeem rewards.
Tips that work
- First stamp free. Add a stamp on the joining visit — cards that already have progress get completed far more often.
- Keep the reward proportional. Roughly the value of one purchase is the sweet spot.
- Put a sign at the till. "Ask us about our stamp card" still does most of the recruiting.
